P.W. The story in the book and the movie talks about a global movement for womens. The system wouldn't do anything about it. The movie is is mostly focused in Kenya where Kennedy Odede talks about his personal life living in poverty and young girls getting an education. Eventhough education is free, it is difficult for young girls to come to school because of no justice. For example this young girl at 4 years old got raped and the dad complained to the police and they were just ignorant. The country itself is very corrupt and there are no public service.

I would relate the "local is global and the global is local" makes me think of the story of China Joe who used to be in the a gang called the Vicelords, because he after being a while in prison he accepted to get helped. In one of the things that he did is to protect a women and make violence less dramatic.
