Pre-reading Prompt with A Path Appears by Nicolas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn

1) Using your Practice Write and notes from the class brainstorm, tell me what pre-reading strategies you used with A Path Appears during the activity?

The pre-reading strategies that I use with A Path Appears are, looking for the key ideas, do some researched on the author, sometimes I check at the preface, google the book title to find reviews on it, check the summary of the book (placed behind the book) and check the main characters.

2) What are your impressions of the book so far, based on the limited pre-reading you've done? What is the book generally talking about? What genre do you think it is?

The book doesn't seem to big at first sight. From reading the summary I am interested of knowing and bit more of what it is talking about specifically. I defiantly do want to take my time to read this book and understand what the story is going lead me. The book talks about making a difference in the world, transforming lives and creating opportunities.

3) Are you looking forward to the book? Be honest, and tell me why or why not. You may also think about whether or not you think the book will be difficult for you in a way.

Honestly, hearing the title of the book, does make me want to ask myself; "what path" or "
where is the path". I do ask myself some questions on the book but that's a good thing, because that means I am interested on reading the book. I'll have to see in the future if I do want too keep on reading it or not.
